Ferris was cruelly rejected by Kory Dawson of Pack Cobalt, the Alpha. Ferris was an Omega, treated horribly and abused daily. Ferris managed to escape the pack  after being rejected, and joined the military. After a very distinguished record, Ferris was honorably discharged due to severe injuries sustained while saving one of his squad. His squad followed him unwilling to answer to another captain, and he returned home to his old town with a werewolf problem.
