The Voltron Coalition is beginning to pick up speed. But with Zarkon back on the throne and Lotor up to nothing good, there's no time to be idle. Soon, there's a report of peculiar Galra Empire activity near a very distant planet, but there's no explanation as to why. Kolivan notes it, but deems the situation low-priority. Keith isn't so sure they can ignore any kind of Empire activity. He decides to take matters into his own hands and find the answers himself.
What he finds is a new mystery all together. A mystery that nearly gets him killed.

He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron.
