Just today I thought of going to a cosplay show, you know? Have some fun, take some picture, get your picture taken, the usual. But, out of all the things that could happen today, getting transported to another world as the guy your cosplaying as isn't one of them. So, I gotta ask: Why Me?

[Now With Photos!] Who are you? No, I don't mean your character. Who are you? I wonder this question every time I go to a con. I try to find a quiet spot and people watch. And my eyes are always drawn to the cosplayers: the young, the old, the experienced, the store-bought newbies, everybody. But even as I pose and smile, as the flash goes off, I wonder, who is this person? This person standing next to me, who has devoted so much time and so much more money to becoming this character? What is it about you, yes you, that compels you to travel, sometimes very far distances, to a con and give up an entire weekend to pretend to be someone you are not? It took me a couple of years to get the guts to start actually asking these questions. When I did, I wasn't disappointed. And that's where Masks Off came from. Never in my life did I ever think I'd be reincarnated. As far as I'm aware, being able to reincarnate means being good in your previous life, and being given a chance to restart your life anew. Although I don't consider myself particularly good, I'm not bad either. I simply existed somewhere in between. Regardless, I never expected to wake up inside a fantasy novel! And not just any novel, but a "dark romance", as my sister would call it. The kind with an obsessive male lead willing to go to any lengths to protect his delicate, soft-spoken heroine. Even if it meant murder. I had read the story before, and yes, it was undeniably cliché. But now, I find myself trapped within said story, cast as the villain, destined to meet my end at the hands of the possessive, and dangerously unhinged male lead. I can't tell if this world despises me or if it's offering me a twisted kind of opportunity. But one thing is for certain: I have to survive. And I need to find a way out. Isn't it said that you should give away what you don't use? After losing my life, I became the Villainess in a novel I didn't even finish. That was alright; I had asked for this second chance, after all. Even if I didn't think my desperate pleas were going to be answered like this, I would not waste this chance. Living with my family was comfortable, but my ambitions were big. Still, the first thing to do was to evade the death flags. For that, I have to evade the Crown Prince at all costs. As a commoner, if he sees me and takes me as a concubine like in the original, it will be very troublesome. But what is this!? Didn't my parents tell you I was sick? Go away and enjoy the festival, and leave me alone! We don't know each other! If he is so insistent on taking me with him, then there is no other choice: I will run away from home! Mother, father, Lanto...I'm sorry. I hope your heads don't roll because of this. I sincerely enjoyed our time together. I learnt a lot from my father. Maybe becoming a wandering witch is not so bad... ... Isn't this how reincarnation stories usually go? With an obsessed male lead who suddenly shows interest in the reincarnated protagonist? But I'm completely honest when I say I will never marry or fall in love with this dude. And no, it's not just the usual 'protagonist who will later be proved wrong' talk. I will not let this become a cliche, damn it!

One of the capture target in a Bl Otome Game I recently played. I hate all the characters guts in the game. All are possessive and obssessed. It's a dark theme bl game. Everyone are overwhelmingly crazy. Especially, this Akira. That's why, now that I possess his body I knew for sure am the only one normal in this world. Let's not get into the drama. Let's escape this hell place full of dark drama and try to find a place where actually normal people lives. Or so I thought? "Don't think you can escape from us" "Baby, your existence are ours only." "You dare to ignore and leave us? You're wishing for everyone's death" "Ignore or leave us again, I promise I'll burn every places your feet set into" "I'm sorry. But I have to agree with them... You should have think it twice, when you make us fall in love with you and then disappear from everyone's sight... the consequences... You... are our possession " "......." Honestly, wat da fak is going on?? That love lines are not supposed to be said to me?? Hello??? Go, tell that to the heroine! You assholes!!
In A Corner Of The World
Reincarnated person here. Not a villain or a love interest or even a remotely interesting side character. Just a cardboard cut out of faceless NPCs in the background. The only thing notable about me is that I'm reincarnated, other than that my stats are average. I'm not the hidden boss or support character either, I'm really here just to fill in the crowd. That is my mindset especially when the protagonist of the game adapted to a specific series of novels was introduced into the classroom. Everybody crowded around the hero, either to make friends with him because of his looks or status.
