Alexander is coming back from a trip to France. He brings a nice mysterious boy with him, Jefferson, little does John know that Jefferson also has a crush on Alex. After John figures out Jefferson likes Alex, a tension grows between them.

Alexander knows he loves Laurens. He also knows that he is straight and only has a platonic relationship with Laurens. He does not think about the taste of Laurens' lips, the soft curls of his hair framing his honey-drop freckles, the curve and snap of the muscles under his skin, or the region under his breeches he wouldn't dare say even under the cover of his thoughts. He loves John Laurens, but not like that, ya know? 1789: Thomas Jefferson returns from France and meets Alexander Hamilton for the first time. It's hatred at first sight, but it will eventually change into something none of them would ever have imagined. Set in the 18th century, the two political enemies will have to overcome their own fears and to hide their love, while trying to build their new nation. (Jamilton / past Lams) ***And then it happened. Jefferson looked away from Burr for just a second and fixed his eyes on Alexander's. Alex's heart stopped and he felt his blood running cold into his veins - what should he do? Should he nonchalantly walk out of that damned alley, or run away, or what? He was trying to think fast, but in the end he just stayed there, frozen on his spot by Jefferson's smug stare. For what it seemed to be a lifetime, Thomas's brown eyes held his gaze, tying Alexander's blue, wide eyes to his, reading his very soul like an open book. Then, he winked and turned to Burr again, acting as if nothing had happened. Alex abruptly retreated into the deep shadows of the alley, breathing hard and sweating as if he'd just had an epiphany. Five seconds. Sorry for being so late to write this! I had to feed my pet turtles. Anyways, you're probably interested in the plot of my book, right? I'd been Alexander's best friend since he transferred here in freshman year. Only one year afterwards, Thomas Jefferson, the son of a rich businessman, came into our lives. A rivalry was instantly caused, fueled by the hatred each of them felt for the other. Although Jefferson was entirely a mystery to everyone at school, that didn't stop my best friend becoming particularly interested in him during our junior year. For whatever reason, after launching his plan to put Jefferson in his place, he became quite fond of the tall Virginian. I was a little jealous of how the two began to grow so close, so I spread a few rumours. They were all entirely true, by the way. (I know that Laurens is the one that's 3 years older, but John sounds cute as a shy kid. I also know this is probably crappy, and ive changed some details, such as Lafayette being three years older than Laurens instead of three years younger, and ive made relations between characters that aren't real. Paternal and Proud [LAMS Short Story]
A story about two generations of Laurenses and Hamiltons, and how their lives become entwined through family, friends, self-discovery, and love. It starts out rocky - Frances doesn't know what's going on in her life - her relationship with her father seems fragile, she doesn't exactly have a lot of friends, and the ones she does have have better ones than her. There's something going with her mind, she doesn't know what it is, and she hates it. Philip has a good life - his dad is basically his best friend, but he has a million other friends at school that are all a close second. He's confident he can get with the girl he's recently developed a crush on until he meets her best friend. John is lonely - he's trying to understand his daughter, but she has been more recently drifting away and he doesn't know if she needs help, or if he could even help her if she did. He wishes they could be a team, but she seems to prefer going solo. Alex is overworked - he barely has time for anything. Recently a single dad, he's constantly at the office, working longer hours to support his seven kids. He's got Philip to help him out around the house and with the other kids, at least, but that doesn't make solitarily running a household that much easier.
