The sport that changed my life

I had one dream to be in the NBA. I am a girl but that's a minor detail. Basketball wasn't just a sport. It helped me to forget that my shitty life wasn't so shitty and those big problems turned it to small one's. Basketball made everything seem like it was going to be okay. All you had to do was not let the opponent score. It seems so simple but actually it's a fucking challenge. However if there's one thing you should no about me I never refuse a challenge.
