The news reports come in with the blissful messages of a brighter tomorrow and what the good people are doing to colonize a world unlike any other. They'll show smiling men and women as they play with small animals and give narration over long shots of waterfalls. They don't talk about the expedition patrols. They don't want to tell people that out there humanity is at the bottom rungs of the food chain.
