Thousands of years ago, the Andromeda Galaxy was invaded by the Lords of Night with several legions under their command. As the invading troops traveled further into the realm, the galaxy ceased to exist and in its place was a dark void of never-ending chaos and destruction.

Before the invading forces could displace the last piece of life that the universe held, a group of people came together under the Ancestral Stars to forge a hidden sanctum that will protect their collective tribes from a common enemy.

After some time, the people who forged the sanctum passed down their knowledge and abilities to their tribe in the hope that one day their people could set forth into the realm of darkness, retrieve their ancestral land, and rescue their people from the group who inhabits their home.

Until that day comes, their people must gather strength if they are ever to have a chance of reforming the realm of darkness into one known as Ethereal.

To Kade Sanford Black, falling for his best friend Xanthie Lorenz, a serious and drop-dead handsome songwriter, was a line he did not want to cross.
