The Trip (One shot short story)

She anxiously looked out the window as the plane began its ascent, sighing softly as she said goodbye to all she's ever known. She looked down at her phone, a slight smile flashing across her face as she saw his face flash across the screen. Leaning back in her seat as the flight reached cruising altitude, she closed her eyes as she thought about what her life would be after she stepped off the plane in a few short hours. Would he accept what he saw when she arrived? Would he regret flying her there? Would he be disappointed that she isn't what he envisioned?
