Fifteen year old Megan Tanner is your average teenager. She enjoys reading, listening to music, and hanging out with her brother, Ethan and her friend, Nicole. Her family is very rich, but she prefers not to brag about it. After a devastating tragedy, she was forced to live with her step mom, whom, doesn't spend much time with her or her brother. Since they live in a mansion and have plenty of funds, their step mom prefers to stay out most of the time. Soon after, her dad mysteriously disappears. Being bored for the millionth time, she decides to explore the closed off part of her house. She discovers a secret basement and finds something hidden inside that might be the answer to her missing father. Ethan, Nicole, and Megan enter a parallel universe where not everything is good and pure. Can they escape their own mind, or will they become trapped like everyone else?
