The story follows Pluto, a non binary demi guy who dresses in ways seen ridiculous by those around him. After being attacked by a group of people at his college, he finds himself running down an unfamiliar path and ends up in a strange new world. Soon he is surrounded by others who struggle, finding compassion only through each other.
