It's weird how colours can represent moods. Red for anger, yellow for happiness, the lists endless. Nyla is a morphwitch. A magical being who can wield spells and she can never hide her mood. It depicts her hair colour. So if she was angry her hair would burn red, if she was sad it would drop to blue. And she's an Illegal. An outcast, which makes her life so much more difficult. There's nothing she wants more than an out, but when opportunity comes knocking will she greet it like a friend or will she lock the door, draw the curtains and hide?

Adam has had it easy. Popular at school, easy life at home and he sleeps sound at night. But when he comes home one day and finds a weird purple haired girl in his room he's opened up to a whole new world, one he never knew existed. Letting the girl into his life could mean indisputable danger and sleepless nights. No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. It was her, the evil woman from my nightmares! With her walking towards us I could feel how evil she was. That's weird, I can feel her evil, how? When Lachlan called her his beloved my heart shattered. Lachlan and the woman who is Gilda his beloved, locked eyes. A heavy weight seemed like it was crushing me. I was suffocating. I had to get out of there and away from her, from them. Lachlan is a 962 year old vampire that is tired of being alone in a world full of humans. Going to extremes to not be alone. After another failed attempt has him running in frustration where he stumbles on a scent he has to find. He's wishing for death, and having no regard for life when he smells the most wonderful smell. He follows the smell and He finds a 5 year old little girl and he's hungry! And then his heartbeats 💗 for the first time in hundreds of years, since he was turned, why??? Why did the Vampires heartbeat 💓? He's determined to find out. Ava is a 5 year old little girl living with her grandmother in a small Missouri town. On her way to the pool for her swimming lessons she notices a stranger. Ava being the sweet little girl that she is offers the stranger help. Give it a chance please!!! There are different time periods through out the story and I tried to choose music for those time periods that reflect upon the chapter.
