This summer would be like no other summer Teely had known in her 15 years. Last summer at this time she had a father, a mother, and a sweet redheaded little brother they called, Tommy. They had all slumbered under the rooftop of the old farm house in the Oklahoma heat as one. Now her and seven other siblings lived under the supervision of their grandfather, Grumps. Who was showing early signs of dementia. Tear drops stained the old wooden flooring, most likely in every room. Each person in the farmhouse grieving their own way. The were aware that if something happened to Grumps, they would all be scattered to the wind in different homes, placed in foster care. No one wanted eight kids.
