SHE RAN FAST.
Her glorious green dress flashed in the moonlight, it flourished into a gentle wave with every stride of her pale legs when she leaped from the grasp of the snaring forest floor.
The tendrils of her copper locks were caressed by the wind's gentle whispers and the sheer terror in her stormy eyes was dark and sinister like the shadow that loomed some paces behind her. She stopped fleeing and pressed her bare back against the bark of a wide tree. With every crunch of crispy autumn leaves against boot, the more hairs began to prickle on her exposed nape. One glance behind. The full moon glinted and sparked against the knife in his hand and while he twirled it he started to speak, each flash of silver sent a fork of fear down her delicate spine.
"One two, one two, and through and through." He spoke in an emotionless tone.
"The blade went snicker snack"
-a branch fell to the floor with a thud.
"He left her dead and with her head he went galumphing back"
A hand snaked round her head and the scream she almost released was stuck in her throat, pink lips refusing to let out her cry for help.
Warm breath blew down her back and a grimy finger stroked her cheek, she bit it and didn't stop till the bone began to grind against her canines. But he slashed at the silk material covering her legs until the red seeped from her lily - white skin, the girl began to tire, and so crashed to the floor with a whimper of defeat for she had not escaped her nightmare this time. However, she decided this was the last time, she would not close her eyes in fear of him again. No. She would stop her pain altogether.
