The Blacks want to marry off their youngest child. He begs Sirius for help and tells him a secret: He is a man and would rather die than be forced to be anyone's wife. Panicked, Sirius arranges a marriage between his brother and his friend James Potter, knowing that Regulus can be the man he is in the English countryside in James' estate, which is a sort of safe haven for homosexual servants who are running from the law or are already convicted. He felt like he couldn't breathe. He stared up at Regulus, his eyes starting to tear up. Regulus didn't look like he regretted any word. He seemed unbothered. James looked away and nodded slowly. "Okay. Yeah, no I get it. I get it all" James stood up from his chair and grabbed his stuff. Regulus moved away from him, not even trying to stop him. "You were just having fun, right? Fun or something. Totally understand" "James, no-" Regulus sounded sorry, he sounded apologetic and it made James feel disgusted.
