Everyday blend into another, you get up and go to work come home, spend time with friends, eat, sleep and get up and do it all over again. That is how my life was, I never strayed from my normal, always did the same things. People said I was a simple girl that came from a rich family that chose her own path. Which I did. I grew up in a small town, went to school, moved to NYC and went to one of the best Universities and became a nurse. Which I loved with all my heart, being able to help the sick and injured, help someone pace into the next life with dignity and respect was what it was all about.
I was all about my life being the way I loved it, simple and unchanged. What I didn't know that on this one December day, with the snow softly fallen I was going to meet the love of my life. The curly haired young man who would challenge me in so many ways. This is a story about how I thought I was rescuing him but in the end it was him who helped me.

"I can't keep doing this," he said as he stopped and glanced back at me. "You can't keep running either," I said loudly. That made him turn and face me fully. "Me? I'm the one always running?
