The year is 2151. Lissa Darkiss was once a sick girl on the brink of death, living out her dwindling days in a vast hospital. When a breakthrough in the field of medicine presented her with the long-sought cure for cancer, she didn't hesitate to take the chance. Now, she must live with the consequences β€” the "cure" did more than save her life, it unlocked extraordinary abilities she didn't know she had.

The idea is taken from "The darkest minds" the movie but the colors are different, and thought holds the same powers. I don't own the idea but the story is mine. Emily finally gets her abilities after six months in a lab. She's black, meaning the most destructive. Leaving the medical facility behind me in ashes, I'm on the run from the government seeking out others like me-someone who can learn me how I'm supposed to control and hopefully protect myself using my ability.
