We've all heard of the tale of Cinderella and how she lost her slipper. The Prince ordered for every maiden in the kingdom to try on the slipper and the one who fits shall be his bride.
Well, what if the story was twisted a bit. Instead of a maiden, it would be a young boy. And instead of a slipper - a song.

The Dark Crystal
In a world, a long, long time ago, lived a crystal. The lands flourished and bloomed until the crystal cracked, the shard lost to time. There came two races with the crystal cracked, the Skeksis and the Mystics. With both races dying, only one could save them. His name was Keith, the last known living Gelfling. He was the chosen one. And he has no clue. NOTE: This takes place in the Dark Crystal universe but still has my own twists to it. I'm basing this story solely off the movie and my own imagination. A few tidbits of knowledge that would make this story make a lil more since are: -This one-shot is only based off the movie, not the comics nor the upcoming (as of 2019) show. -All of the species named here (Gelfling, Skeksis, Mystics, Podlings) are all more humanoid than what is canon in the Dark Crystal movie but you can still image them as you wish. -The Skeksis are the Galra. (The Mystics AREN'T the Alteans though.) Image the Skeksis as more Galra-like or more Skeksis-like, do what fits your imagination. The Story Behind the Slipper
We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story! One deca-phoeb, a Galra female by the name of Krolia kept the Galra from finding the Blue Lion. However, her ship received damages and she crashed. A human found her, badly injured, and took care of her. With time, this human gained Krolia's trust and her affection. A baby boy was born to them and they were happy. They though nothing could ruin their happiness; they were wrong. The Galra picked up the signals of the Blue Lion and returned to Earth. She left to protect her family and the Lion but her husband followed her. He helped, but died. The Lion was safe but Krolia had lost her lover and her little child had lost a father. She took him with her, in the hope of keeping him safe and protect the Lion, but they were captured by the Galra. Krolia was forced to fight for their lives in the arena, but lost her own eventually. Her child grew up, learning the Galra customs and fighting styles, fighting - no, surviving - in the arena. He had privileges, allowing him to wander the ship they were all held on. He befriended the other gladiators and taught them how to survive, even the Champion. Together, the Champion and the child escaped, headed to Earth, in hopes to protect what had cost the child so much and could change the fate of the entire Universe. You know how it goes: The female protagonist gets mistreated by her stepmother and the stepsisters after her father dies from illness. he stepmother and her daughters going to the ball leaving the female lead at home doing chores. fairy godmother comes and transform the female lead to a princess. fgm(fairy godmother) transforms an orange vegetable (pumpkin) and small animals (rats and mice) to people and a carriage. fgm warns fml about the clock striking midnight, fml goes to the ball, saw the male lead, and dances with him. Then she runs away from him after clock strikes midnight, drops her glass slipper, the male lead founds the slipper and says that he will marry the girl that fits the shoe. goes to each house of the kingdom the next day, goes to the fml's house, the stepsisters tried the shoe but didn't fit them, then the fml tries the shoe and it fits, then the male lead and the fml got married! Bam! that's how it goes, right? But, what if the stepmother and stepsisters were all male? What if the fairy godmother was a male? What if the prince walks out of the ball after the event was finished? What if the prince finds the girl that lost her slipper already? What would happened afterwards?
