I stared at her while she looked at my art. "this painting is beautiful" she says with a sparkle in her eyes. "the colors seem to fight for dominance, like two lovers in the night" she whispers. I smile down at her, loving how she had described it. I almost wanted to tell her that she had inspired it, she was one of the lovers fighting for dominance, but my career was the other lover. I wanted to tell her that maybe one day lovers would never had to fight for dominance, not when our love would be equal.
