As I was pushed behind the massive doors into an even bigger room, I let my eyes roam the expanse of the room. My eyes stopped on a large figure with his back to us.
"Kneel.",the guard behind me hissed into my ear.
"Well, I can't courtesy of one of your colleagues who decided it would be a good idea to shatter my knee.
"Then bow.", He whispered harshly.
"Enough!",
His voice was like molten gold boomed through the whole room. He turned to reveal his eyes. His Amber eyes stopped me right in my tracks. In a split second he was s standing in front me looking into my Icy blue eyes. It felt like he was peering right into my soul. He turned to the guard, "leave", the guard practically ran out of the room.
He was supporting me now. I just kept staring at him. The rumors didn't do him justice, was all I could think about, from his striking eyes to his Roman nose and high cheekbones. He was beautiful. He was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
"What is your name?"
"Alexandria Lennox."
"Rank"
"Healer....and Omega."
"What are you doing here?"
"I needed to see you."
"Why?",his eyes were cold and calculating, just like the rumors.
"I need something from you."
"What made you think that you would get into my territory, enter my castle and see me and much less get what you want without getting killed?"
"I didn't but there are some risks that have to be taken."
He tucked my platinum blonde hair behind my ear.
He smiled, it was cold. A chill went down my spine. Something was wrong.
Before I could I do anything his canines were on my neck.
I wanted to fight, to do something but it was too late.
I could only feel his canines in me, marking me as his. I felt the bond rip open, spring to life tying itself around me and him. It was lurching joining our life forces together. It was growing with every passing second.
The last thing u saw was his face before the darkness swallowed me.

I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion. Jasper Devereaux is an arrogant, entitled dirtbag, nothing more. I can't believe I just jeopardized my favorite trade spot for him. He demands to know why I pulled a knife on him instead of just telling him he was in danger. I explain to him that the reason for the dagger was glaringly obvious if you consider the way he acted when I did use it. If he was willing to argue with a blade against his skin, there is no way he'd have left that place in good hands if I hadn't forced him to. I can't help but laugh at the audacity of him to be angry with me for how I chose to save his life. "You really haven't changed." His head snaps up at this, and I see his eyes searching my face. Of course he doesn't recognize me. For me, it was super traumatic. For him, it was just another day. "What are you going on about?" "This isn't the kingdom, Jasper, these peasants aren't at your mercy." I see the blood drain from his face, and recognition clicks in his eyes.

It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed.
