Note 9/22/2023 - Written for a high school project back in 2014, when I was 16. Short story, stressing and reflecting over the importance of the well known saying - treat each day as your last. Not everyone may live to see another day.
Henrietta, now living on her own in a New York City apartment. Her father has passed, leaving her mom in a deep depression. Her mom depends on Henrietta and her sister Kathy more and more. Henrietta can't take it, always having to care after her mothers every need. They get into an argument, leaving things off on a bad note. While Henrietta is on a trip with her friend Jackie, something happens.
Read Henrietta's story and the morals she learns. In life there are always lessons, ones that are important to learn. Sometimes you don't know them until it's too late.
