Sometimes Evelynn Vogel wonders what it's like to feel, but most times she relishes in her inability to cry. Evelynn often wonders what life would be like where everything is different; where the sharp sting of rejection only appears in bad dreams and her laughter would become a gift to people's ears. For Evelynn Vogel has done something she was told is bad and what makes it terrible is that her laughter was the final echo heard and not the screams of her victim. But what makes it worse is that she feels no remorse for what she has done as Evelynn Vogel quite physically cannot care. Living in a world of promises she won't keep and surrounding herself in jokes that are most certainly not funny is simple for a while. But when Evelynn's world quite literally begins to fall apart, she takes it upon herself to find out what the hell is going on. After all, she doesn't feel the fears that most people do. The city Evelynn lives in begins to corrupt into hundreds of sink holes, each so incredibly deep and wide enough to swallow buildings and skyscrapers. However, when a scrawny boy takes the leap with her into the unknown it forces Evelynn to wonder; Who is this mysterious man? She is soon untimely ripped from him as she is hurled into a new universe with a new problem arising; her universe is collapsing into an alternate one. And it's up to Evelynn Vogel to save it. Because who knew that the worse thing that she has ever done could also be the best.
