Lilliana Thorne is the daughter of a Duke, a Lord and a very close friend to the King, The Duke of Windsor, Sir Alfred Thorne. Lilliana and the King's daughter, Adelaide are very close friends and are tutored by the same private royal tutor at Buckingham Palace. For years, the two men, both the King and the Duke have been trying to Pair Lilliana, with the King's only son and the next King, William, but things aren't as easy as they seem. Lily, as she also goes by, enjoys her life and the privileges she has, but she knows it's only so long, before she no longer has those freedoms, and she will have to marry the man who has been her enemy for as long as she can remember.
Princess Ariana has been in love with her best friend Coby since they were little children. The only problem is, he has always loved her as a sister and nothing more. When she realises that he may never come to love her romantically, a heartbroken Ariana agrees to court Prince Jasper of a neighbouring Kingdom.
But what happens when Coby realises that his feelings for Ariana are in fact more then platonic, but she is now courting some Prince, who in his mind is not good enough for her, but is still a man who outweighs him in society since he is just a simple Royal Guard.
Jealousy, tension and of course love collide in this short tale, which proves that true love can conquer over all.
