I was made to serve him. I was made to heed his every beck and call. I was dutiful, obedient, proud of my servitude regardless of what the others thought of me. He was powerful, and he made me powerful, too. It was honorable to be his right hand, to be able to execute his orders to perfection. I thought I had done well in this position.
