She remembered the day the Great War came to an end. She was five at that time. Everyone was rejoicing but her mother cried, her brother had shut himself up in his room. They told her that her father was dead. But she did not understand, she did not know death. But now she knew. It was cruel. It was like a cold claw, snatching everything in life. It did not hurt those whom it took. But those who loved. Her brother was dead, her mother was dead, and now she herself would die. The water around her turned red. Her lungs were filled with water. She could not breathe. At least she would die knowing that she tried. She would join her beloved ones after her death. And with that last thought, she sank into the dark depths of ocean.

She's gone. She's gone. How can she just be gone? She could be hurt or dead, who knows. Fox's vision blurred and her knees felt weak. Fear. Deep, uncontrollable fear, so raw it hurt, gripped her chest. She could feel her heart hammering and her throat was tightening. She tried to keep herself from hyperventilating, but couldn't seem to get enough oxygen into her lungs. Neck breaking out in a sweat, she shuddered uncontrollably. No, no, no, not now. Don't panic now. You haven't had an attack in years! Don't break that record now, not in front of all these people! But it was no use. Fox could feel the panic settling in, suffocating her. The faces of the dozens of people blurred together, drowning her. Why did there have to be so many of them? She could face down monstrous hydras, cyclopes, gorgons, even sirens without the slightest fear, but somehow a large crowd of people was enough to make her break out into a cold sweat. But it wasn't the horde that was terrifying her at the moment, though they certainly weren't helping any. The only face that filled her vision at the moment was Aviva's. Oh, gods. Not her. Please not her. I can't lose her too. Not after- "I-I can't breathe." ****** When Fox's little sister Aviva gets kidnapped from her home in Camp Jupiter and held for ransom, Fox will do anything to save her. Along with her friends, Fox forms uneasy alliances in a desperate attempt to find her. What happens when Greeks and Romans clash once again? Will they be able to set aside their differences and work together? ****** This is a fanfiction. All rights go to our humble and fearless leader, Uncle Rick.

"I'm going to get you out of there," Finnick's voice was firm, each word sharpened by perseverance. "How?" the young girl challenged, her tone tinged with desperation. "You're out here, and I'm trapped in there." Finnick's eyes swept over her, his mind racing to find a way to outsmart the system, break her free, and hide her away. "Andrew-" he started, but she cut him off. "He'd give his life for me, I know. But I'd do the same for him. When it comes down to it, it's a race to see who can throw themselves in front of the other first." Her voice was steady, resolute. Finnick's gaze lingered on her, troubled. "You're too young to be so ready to die," he sighed, disappointment heavy in his words. ----- [𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥:23𝘳𝘥 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵,2024] [𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥:----------] ----- 𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: 𝘉𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥,𝘚𝘦*𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘶𝘭𝘵,𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘏𝘢*𝘮,𝘗𝘛𝘚𝘋,𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘳𝘦,𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴,𝘚𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨,𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯,𝘙*𝘱𝘦,𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘱.
