In hindsight, it probably would have been more appropriate to simply tap his shoulder instead of leaning over it and asking, "Lace or silk?", but the cute little yelp the man makes as he turns around makes everything worth it. (In which Kurt decides to remain in Lima, working at a Victoria's Secret, while waiting to re-audition for NYADA, and Sue actually meant it when she said all cheerios were required to wear a thong.) ----- Okay, so I don't normally write all that much fanfiction, but this is for the few occasional times when I actually manage to write something that's not too ooc (also, as these are all pretty much stand alones, I'll be marking it as completed.)

Now, Quinn never sugar coated anything with Emily. Fully aware that, as soon as her best friend was done with middle school she'd be transferring to McKinley to do her high school with her, Quinn had made sure to tell Emily exactly how things worked there: you needed to be popular to survive and the best way to do that was to be in the Cheerios or dating a football guy. Quinn was doing both and she was doing both well, dating the Quarterback and all, and she promised she'd help her out the first few weeks, making sure to hype her up to everyone so she would, eventually, be able to spread her own wings. "But I need you to help me." Quinn had told her the first day of the year, as she walked inside the school with her arm linked through Emily's. "Because I can only do so much. And if you want to survive here, you need that Cheerios uniform." Set in season 1 Disclaimer: Some of the dialogue aren't mine and most of the characters aren't either The prequel to the books from my Yes or No series for Sam Evans that you can find on my works in this account. You don't really need to read them first to read this story, but if you haven't read those, please do!
