Skylar Montgomery was bullied for her appearance and having no mother before she came to Cedar Valley High School. She made a promise to herself that she'd stay strong, even when things got difficult. She took a good look at herself in the mirror and made any changes she felt necessary, but still felt insecure. A year goes by at her new school and she's made some new, dependable friends.

But what happens when her older brother's best friend who is the supposed bad boy, Jace Forrester with a secret comes into the picture?
