Wynn works as a Tower Clerk in the town of Lydia. Everyday she sits in the small Tower Room and watches over the clock and the city. For years she has been doing this and nothing out of the ordinary has happened. But things change. New people are showing up in Lydia, all claiming to have recently moved from various cities and towns in Northhand. When a mysterious woman shows up at the clock tower, Wynn gets that feeling again. The one in the pit of her stomach that twists her gut and makes her keel over. Bad things are happening and she can feel it. Just like she could feel when a disease killed 300 people or when her parents died. Then, people start to dissapear. Girls she knew, men she hadn't. Even Rowena, the crazy cat lady who lived down the street. Nobody knows where they have gone to, but Wynn thinks it has something to do with the new guys in town. When Wynn's little brother Mason is taken, she swears to her Nana that she will find him and bring him home. In her attempt, she knows she needs to get close to the woman at the tower. Wynn knows she has answers, and all she needs to do is weasel them out for her. As Wynn uncovers secrets about her city, her past and her government, things start to go wrong. Very, very wrong. She finds that her previous feelings of doom where not false, they may even be apart of the problem. As she spirals deeper and deeper into this mess, she realizes that there are just some things that you can't predict.
