Beck Addams is the school's smartest kid. He aces everything ranging from Essays to Tests. And everyone wants him to tutor them.

Riley King is the school's "emo" kid. He wears all black, sits in the back of the class, gets c's and d's, and never talks to anyone. No one wants to go near him.

Here's where it gets interesting though..

Beck is deaf and Riley is mute.

Beck is a tall boy with lots of muscles and Riley is a medium height genderqueer person (with a secret six pack).

Beck does everything he can to talk to people, without actually being able to say anything, and Riley avoids people at all costs and takes his not being able to talk to his advantage.

Beck is gay and Riley is demiromantic asexual.

***

One day though they get partnered for a school project. Will they create a bond? Or will Riley just push Beck away like he does everyone else? Read to find out.
