Birth defects were eliminated almost a hundred years ago. With parents having the ability to specifically choose the physical traits of their children, there should never be another deaf, dumb, or blind person in the world. But, of course, something was bound to go wrong. Iris, or Natasha, as she prefers to be called, is the only known blind person in the world, and at 16 years old, she's dying to try living like a normal teenager. But how normal can you be when you have one of your new school's most popular boys acting as your disembodied eyes? Between the lack of vision and the apparent lack of having the "binding tattoo" that so many other people have, Iris is really questioning whether all these scientific advances are meant to help better society, or if their soul purpose is to make her life more difficult.
*DISCLAIMER*
I'm not blind, I don't personally know anyone who is blind. The way I describe Iris's world is just my interpretation of what it potentially might be like for some blind people.
