Lhaiel San Diego was devastated when his girlfriend married someone else and his marriage proposal went awry. His love for her remained constant despite his belief that his life would be meaningless without her. He started drinking. In the hopes that the bitter taste of the alcohol would wash away all the pain, he drowned himself in it.
