After the death of Martha and Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne has no one but his butler, Alfred and his friend, Rachel Dawes. He must learn how to live on without his parents in his life, and must find the meaning of happiness. 

While he does this Gotham's state is deteriorating quickly, faster than the police can contain. The rise of criminal empires is coming exponentially and there is no end in sight.

Two issues, one man. How can any situation resolve?

Their father was imprisoned and their mother overdosed, causing her own death. They stole and conned their way through life for two years, pawning things off for money. One night they spotted the car of Batman himself. The vigilante was nowhere in sight, so they tried to steal the tires from it. The twins were caught in the process, forcibly explaining that they had no home and no parents. The Bat saw something, a fighting spark, but also a potentially dangerous criminal future in them and took them in. Bruce Wayne saw to it that the Todds were placed in a school for troubled youths which turned out to be Ma Gunn's School for Crime. Jason and Jacey earned the Robin mantle a short while later by helping Batman apprehend the gang of thieves. However, they did not wear the Robin costume until they underwent six months of intense training. From there Jason and Jacey took turns being Robin each night for four years. And that, is where their story begins...

A force of powerful beings that there are only mere whispers of. The heroes of Gotham can't hope to beat them alone, but thank fully every villian comes with a hero. Now the bats will enter a world so familiar to theirs, yet so different. Are they ready to meet the enemy of their new enemy? Is Gotham ready for a new type of war? Is the fate of the Bat family going to rest in the hands of a simple black armoured girl with far too many secrets? Can she even help, she just left a bloody battlefield. Some would say she's too broken to enter another. Can the bats, birds, hood, and this new figure defeat Talia and her allies? This summary sucks. My book isn't all that awsome either, so I'm sorry. I think it was going good in the beginning, but the plot just fell apart, I'm sorry. But if you still try and read it, thanks. Also the chapters are about medium lengths, definently not super short though. Resetting Batman's origin story back to 1939, this is a very literary first-person perspective novel that is heavily inspired by the comics, and places emphasis upon the science and technology of the Batman mythos. It is firmly cemented in real world history using historical figures to do so, and utilizes detailed forensic knowledge of the time period to create a believable detective mystery. 1939 - Year of the Bat-Man is told from the perspectives of Bruce Wayne, James Gordon, and Selena Kyle. The tale imagines young Bruce being kidnapped by Gotham's "Streetnapper" on the night that his parents were murdered. It is here where his psyche shatters and the bat persona slowly begins to take on a life of its own. Little does he know, this event will eventually prove to become his greatest clue in solving the identity of the illusive criminal, allowing the Bat-Man to take his vengeance and cement his legacy in Gotham forever.

Once Bruce and Batman vanished Andrew wanted to come back to Gotham and restore the once great city to the way it was but his mother and Alfred refused, in which Wayne Enterprises was moved to National City. Wayne Enterprises owns a lot of places, one being Kat Co. were he Co-owns it with Kat Grant.One day Andrew notices Kat got a new secretary and he couldn't keep his eyes off of her, but she holds a secret just like Andrew.
