"Heather you know you it too dangerous for you to fight back! You're-" her mother paused and so did Heather. A small air of silence came between the two.

Heather turned to her with a glare. "I'm what mom? Powerless? Helpless?" She mocked turning around fully. "Not my brother? Not you? Not dad? Quirkless?" She continued, her anger finally reaching the max. "The list could go on!" She finished.

Her mother realising how this could escalate spoke in a more calm manor. "I'm just trying to keep you safe-"

"Because I can't defend myself without a quirk right? Isn't that what it is!-"

"Yes! That's exactly what it is!" Her mother finally snapped and another pause went round the room.

"Just get out." Heather finally said through clenched teeth. Her mother didn't complain.

What defines a villain? by AceTheHorsey
32 parts Ongoing Mature
Ryujiki is Hitoshi's twin brother. He has protected Hitoshi from bullies for years, always getting injured and beaten up in the process. His quirk is silence, and he uses it to keep Hitoshi from voicing his concern. Really, he just wants his brother to be happy. However, after a particularly bad beating which sends Ryujiki to a hospital, the boy get's kidnapped. As Hitoshi's mental state declines from the lack of a brother, Ryujiki fights for his life every day in the clutches of the villains. Hitoshi realizes that he always relied on his brother too much, and as he failed to protect his brother when Ryujiki begged for help for the first time in their lives, he considers himself as useless. Ryujiki on the other hand completely disregards the separation of heroes and villains, and now considers the world to be split in other categories. 'Those who mess with other peoples' lives' and 'Those who don't'. Heroes, villains, civilians... having a quirk doesn't brand them into a specific category. They can choose to use their quirk to help or hurt others, but they can also choose to use their quirk only for themself. Or to not use it at all! Why change other peoples' lives unprovoked? If they ask for help, they ask for a positive change to be made. If they don't, why bother messing with them, whether for good or evil? Once Ryujiki escapes, how will his new view on the world impact his brother? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The title and cover page may or may not change. Also I am going to go back and edit and re-edit the story. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- None of the fanart is mine. Neither is the title page. All credit goes to the artists. I do not own any of BNHA or MHA. I only own my OC who's name is Ryujiki.

23 parts Complete

Y/N Ōtā was a unique child. She had lovely parents, grandparents, and two older siblings. Her mother had a healing quirk, and her father had a water quirk, and both were powerful, strong, amazing heroes. Though, she was the only Ōtā who got a combination of the two quirks, making her a very promising candidate for the hero business. Truly destined for greatness. But, you can't have a determined hero without some life-lasting trauma, right? When Y/N and her family moved to Japan to live with her grandparents for five years, her mother and older brother were murdered by a dastardly set of crazies who called themselves the "League of Villains." Later, Y/N's father, and older sister, were also killed by the same set of villains. On top of that, she is accepted into the greatest hero academy in Japan - U.A. High School. It was what her parents and siblings would've wanted - that is, if she hadn't desperately accepted help from the League of Villains when she was fatally wounded. When Y/N finally escapes the restricting clutches of the League of Villains, she must piece her life back together by earning her spot back in the Hero course, proving her loyalty to the heroes over and over again, and living up to the Ōtā name. What she didn't want - or expect - to do was fall in love.
