What happens when the one person who can lead Earth's forces against an alien invasion has sworn herself to peace?

Scarred by her father's death, Sibylla Cross fights to end the war. She protests in the streets, demonstrates against the government-anything she can do to stop the killing. But it's not enough. She needs to do more.

Desperate, she turns to her hacker boyfriend, Dillon, for help. Together, they break into the Hive-a maximum-security facility for the world's largest arms manufacturer and puppet master behind the global conflict. But once inside, they realize something's wrong.

Schematics don't match up. The main server is missing. And suddenly, she's discovered by the guardian of the network, an advanced A.I. named Morgana.

Arrested, she's forced into the Blood Eagles-a special branch of the military so dangerous that even death row inmates can enlist. Alone and frightened, she must form bonds with those whom she has hated while learning the art of war to survive. But will it be enough to prepare her for the coming invasion on the horizon?
