Warriors: Blood On The Thorns

13 parts Complete

"Ever since Halfpelt was a kit, the aftermath of battle shadowed the camp of Frostclan. Sworn to medicine after witnessing the ambush of his home by the neighboring clan Cavernclan, and the death of his father, Jaggedbrook, Halfpelt committed his purpose to healing fellow cats instead of training to harm them. After the mysterious death of his beloved mentor, Shrewface, Halfpelt suddenly finds himself sole healer for his clan at an unexpectedly young age, yet most of Frostclan would agree that he was one of the best medicine cats in recent memory. But despite the praise, Halfpelt longed for his purpose to be null and void... In an effort to perfect his knowledge in the herbs he collects, Halfpelt turns his attention to the peculiar berries Shrewface kept hidden away before his untimely death. Nicknaming them "Redthorns," due to the appearance of the spiny twigs they grew on, Halfpelt dedicates his solitary time into discovering the effects of these strange herbs, to finish what his mentor began - dispelling the growing rumors that Shrewface was a dangerous cat that had lost his mind. Who knew? Those Redthorns could be the key to revolutionizing medicine for the entire forest..." Blood On The Thorns is an OC fanfic inspired by two stories: "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Lewis Stevenson and the various "Warriors" books by Erin Hunter.
