As she walked through the rubble of a once great kingdom, she came across a pile of rocks with a throne balancing precariously on top, sitting atop the throne was an old man with untamed hair and a malicious glint in his eyes. But creepiest of all was the rusted, chipped and bent crown atop his head. She tried to run but she was in his kingdom now. And there was no mercy shown to outsiders.

Lykalis has a new obsession: a bewitching man carrying secrets stained in blood. But is he worth less than the safety of her kingdom? Or is he worth more than she could ever imagine? ***** The King and Queen have been murdered and eighteen-year-old Heiress Lykalis Vasoraki is to take her Aunt's title and be crowned in the palace of Kolteo, where people with the wings of crows and ravens dwell. Before her coronation ceremony can ensue, she pursues the killer and finds herself on a grueling path to the Kingdom of Sidiem, a territory of wolves and foxes. There, she bears witness to a brutal death, and a Royal investigation transpires. She teams up with the Heir of Sidiem and finds a list of evidence that consequently leads them to a jewelry company, one which hides something terribly sinister. An alluring man with mismatched eyes catches Lykalis's attention and she finds herself entwined with the fate of a broken man who knows more about killing then he does about living. ***** Excerpt: "Don't lie to me." She sneered, smacking her hand against the floor. "Don't lie-" His eyes snapped to her as anger flashed between them. "You were like starlight, like-like the constellations had fallen together in order to create you, as if you were personally molded by the gods themselves." He pressed. "Your spirit glowed like the only light across a sea of barren land- you. . .you're spirit was the only one that felt like. . ." ***** [ word count: 160,000~170,000 ] [ Book 1 of the Crown of Dahlia Trilogy ]
