     Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective - the only one in the world, let me remind you - at your ser... Never mind. Your commander, and additionally the best amateur detective - I did invent my post. And thanks to my genius, my Death Frisbee is now world famous. Yes, yes, now take a seat and kindly recover your jaw. Your gaping mouth is annoying me.

In any case, one glaring inconsistency roared out at me from the scrawled records of my - our - many tales. Overshadowed by my intelligence and deductive genius... Who in hell considered John Watson?

Allow me to introduce him. Dr. John Hamish Watson, the world's only Consulting Detectives'... Blogger. Not quite got the same ring to it (sorry John) but no matter! He didn't invent his post, so at least that stands for something.

Well. Not exactly, but my dear Blogger does count for rather a lot. Not that I'd tell him this of course. His ego next to my humble self is unbearable already, without adding yet more air to his near-burst balloon. I'd hate for him to explode, he's far too useful. Although it is true. That man carries enough self belief for three, never mind just the two of us. 

 

I am Sherlock Holmes, and this is... our story. Our log of when we played the game - and won.

What if the perfect duo of Holmes and Watson had met differently? What if John had been hired by Mycroft to look after his little brother? What if... "Mr. Holmes," John exclaimed with astonishment written across his features. "You can't be serious." "This isn't complicated, I assure you. All that I'm requesting is for you to befriend my brother and become his flat-mate. You will still have your regular life. Your past with the MI-6 will become rather useful with protecting Sherlock from harm with his array of detective work and crime fighting." John couldn't ignore the way his heart's jumped at the last part. He struggled to keep his face straight and look at this rationally. "And what if your brother doesn't like me? We might not be friends." Mycroft sighed. "Then I will remove you from this job and ask someone else to try," he replied smoothly. John was going to reject the offer when Mycroft interrupted. "Mr. Watson, I am aware that you want something more then your dull civilian life. This is the offer that you've been waiting for." Still uncertain, John wavered. He decided to at least take a look at the file Mycroft handed him seconds ago. Nothing caught his eye as he flitted mindlessly through the pages. Then his eyes landed on the photo and John's breath caught in his throat. His sharp cheekbones and impossible eyes were undeniably the ones of the breath-taking man he had bumped into on the street earlier.

This is a johnlock fanfic Sherlock gets in trouble with some criminals, will John get there in time. This happens before Sherlock jumps. This is my first fanfic (wich means it's going to suck), so please if anyone can be bothered to read this pitiful example of a fanfic give me feed back, and don't be nice I want to improve, I know, I know being critical is not very nice but I want to improve. He was looking at Sherlock Holmes. Yet not the one he would have expected. Distinctive changeable eyes, lined by a row of long dense lashes, showed an expression of a wild animal standing in the glare of approaching headlights. Of a man driven into a corner. Simply expressed, an expression of pure horror, something you don't see on a famous consulting detective most of the time. John opened his mouth, but after a realisation that he has no idea of what he wanted to say, he closed it again. He wasn't welcomed by a mutilated, smashed face. The severed spine could be ruled out straight away, and he seemed to have all his limbs as well. He felt an endless relief when he saw solid, uninjured skin where the blood flowed the last time. Nevertheless, the scene he was offered tugged the carpet under his feet and he had to admit (if a bit grudgingly) that Mycroft was right-he did not exaggerate when warning him it might be a shock. Trigger warnings: This story contains references to violence and its description, and also deals with self-esteem issues and body image. If something triggers you, please proceed with caution or reconsider if you want to continue reading. Things get turned for the worse when Sherlock comes up with what he believes a clever plan, a plan that he keeps secret, in order to beat the consulting criminal at his own game. But it could be that Moriarty has messed with the sociopath's mind. . . Which means he may be going mad. But despite all of this, and keeping this secret away from John, Mr Holmes is a restless man, and he will not stop at nothing until he has caught---and stopped--- the enemy(Dr.Watson, however, is less determined). With an IQ above average and being a highly-functioning sociopath at best, and a detective partner who happens to be a doctor at his side, Sherlock is on a wild hunt in which the scent gets nearer. . . . But the trail is getting fainter every time he is one step closer. The game is on. . . {FANFIC WRITER'S NOTE: The reason why I edited the summary was because I realized I turned it into something totally different than how I planned it.
