"John. When you said I was a machine... Did you really mean it?"

     Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective - the only one in the world, let me remind you - at your ser... Never mind. Your commander, and additionally the best amateur detective - I did invent my post. And thanks to my genius, my Death Frisbee is now world famous. Yes, yes, now take a seat and kindly recover your jaw. Your gaping mouth is annoying me.

In any case, one glaring inconsistency roared out at me from the scrawled records of my - our - many tales. Overshadowed by my intelligence and deductive genius... Who in hell considered John Watson?

Allow me to introduce him. Dr. John Hamish Watson, the world's only Consulting Detectives'... Blogger. Not quite got the same ring to it (sorry John) but no matter! He didn't invent his post, so at least that stands for something.

Well. Not exactly, but my dear Blogger does count for rather a lot. Not that I'd tell him this of course. His ego next to my humble self is unbearable already, without adding yet more air to his near-burst balloon. I'd hate for him to explode, he's far too useful. Although it is true. That man carries enough self belief for three, never mind just the two of us. 

 

I am Sherlock Holmes, and this is... our story. Our log of when we played the game - and won.

You took a liking to Sherlock, despite his arrogance and sociopathic tendencies, and you slowly begin to see his feelings that he hides underneath his shell. When he sees how clever you are, Sherlock also takes a liking to you, but tries his hardest to hide it. He knows that sentiment is a chemical defect found on the losing side. Now you, Sherlock and John Watson are solving cases together, but what happens when the person you fear most shows up and starts to torment John and Sherlock.

May the odds be ever in your favour.” I froze and made eye contact with John Watson, the closest thing to me. The probability of him being reaped was small, but still there. It was agonizing, watching the worry in his eyes. My heart rate sped up and sent chills down my spine. The name card was unfolded and the tape was pulled back. “John Hamish Watson.” A sudden wave of panic hit me and I pushed forward in the crowd, too distraught to notice the second card being drawn. “I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute!” I yelled, battling against a peacekeeper to stop John from leaving the crowd. “Sherlock Holmes.”

First of all the cover of this fanfic was done by arkarti on tumblr, you should definitely go and look at her work (it is truly the best I have ever seen), you can also find her on Twitter @arkartiart and on YouTube under arkarti, but anyway go and check out her work. This is a johnlock fanfic Sherlock gets in trouble with some criminals, will John get there in time. This happens before Sherlock jumps. This is my first fanfic (wich means it's going to suck), so please if anyone can be bothered to read this pitiful example of a fanfic give me feed back, and don't be nice I want to improve, I know, I know being critical is not very nice but I want to improve. The characters do not belong to me, but come how could I resist. I hope you enjoy

All that I'm requesting is for you to befriend my brother and become his flat-mate. You will still have your regular life. Your past with the MI-6 will become rather useful with protecting Sherlock from harm with his array of detective work and crime fighting." John couldn't ignore the way his heart's jumped at the last part. He struggled to keep his face straight and look at this rationally. "And what if your brother doesn't like me? We might not be friends." Mycroft sighed. "Then I will remove you from this job and ask someone else to try," he replied smoothly. John was going to reject the offer when Mycroft interrupted. "Mr. Watson, I am aware that you want something more then your dull civilian life. This is the offer that you've been waiting for." Still uncertain, John wavered. He decided to at least take a look at the file Mycroft handed him seconds ago. Nothing caught his eye as he flitted mindlessly through the pages. Then his eyes landed on the photo and John's breath caught in his throat. His sharp cheekbones and impossible eyes were undeniably the ones of the breath-taking man he had bumped into on the street earlier.
