(This book was written before the news of the breakup, and I was too far to turn back and change the story) I do NOT own the characters in this story, they all belong to history and Lin Manuel Miranda's musical, Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton, the embodiment of evil, the Devils right hand man, torturer of souls and killer of the weak. He flies through the human world killing people who's times run out. He loves his job and follows every rule the Devil gives him. Hell is his rightful home. One day Alexander is asighed to take a soul from a teenage boy, John Laurens who is about to commit suicide, but instead of taking Johns soul, he saves it. Alex doesn't know why he's helping the boy out. but John is so...unique. In his own way. Without realizing it Alexander became some sort of guardian to this guy, and does what he can to protect him.

They made a deal, right? Alexander Hamilton teased, belittled, picked on, and bullied John Laurens in grade school. John doesn't care, though, because he decided that all he wants is for Alex to marry him. And he'll do anything to make that happen. Even if they're not a perfect match. Trigger Warning: John struggles immensely with his mental health because I struggle immensely with my mental health. Viewer discretion is advised.

TW : depression, suicidal thoughts Alexander had, according to him, no more reason to live. He was tired, and his head kept telling him that he had no one, that if he disappeared, no one would care. And that was true. Alexander was alone, terribly alone. He was waiting for someone. More than anyone on this Earth, he needed a person by his side, because that was the only thing that would have allowed him to stay alive. Alexander couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't find any meaning in his life, and to continue fighting had become useless. And he had no one. Yeah, he just needed someone. And it was there, just as everything was falling apart around him, that he met him. John. The boy he was waiting for. Alexander is a man of many words. To many he's seemed to never be satisfied. His mind was usually set on work. Sometimes, it takes your best friend to show you the world through your heart.

Alexander Hamilton has not had an easy life. After his parents died, he bounced from foster home to foster home in Nevis, each one giving up on him and claiming that he was "too difficult to deal with." After being thrown out of his seventh foster home, he gets adopted by an American couple named George and Martha Washington. George and Martha are incredibly kind and willing to do anything for Alex, but Alex finds it difficult to trust them. He worries that they will become angry with him and throw him out the way the rest of his foster parents did. He finds himself growing more and more depressed and angry, and nothing the Washingtons do can make him feel better. Alex finds himself desparate for acceptance, and ends up in a tumultuous friendship with none other than John Laurens, a gay boy rebelling against his homophobic parents. Will the Washingtons give up on Alex, or will Alex finally learn to trust again.
