When the being that created the universe started creating man, man struck a bargain. In order for man to not destroy everything the being had created, there had to be someone for every person. Someone they could love for all their lives even if not romantically. Just someone to keep all humanity kind, caring, loving, and safe. A soulmate of some kind. Romantic or friendship. And they had to have distinguishing marks to each other so they knew. The being agreed, not wanting his world to be destroyed. Now to the present. Everyone is born with a small tattoo on the inside of their left wrist. The being that created the universe had multiple children and his latest daughter is trying to find the person with the broken heart on their wrist.

When you turn 14, you get a tattoo that describes your soulmate. As you spend more time with them, it gets more detailed. But when you kiss your soulmate for the first time, you tattoo glows and shows their name. But this only happens when it is love and love only. (So if you just kiss someone to kiss them then your tattoo won't glow) As for your soulmate dying, your tattoo turns black and shows a small picture of them with their name under. After three days it goes away and you never get another tattoo. Disclaimer: I do not own the PJO or HoO characters. I wish I did though, but sadly that title belongs to Uncle Rick. I also do not own any songs, bands, brands, etc. Also I suck at descriptions. And my writing starts off kinda bad and super short but trust me, it gets better, so yeah. In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. This is a haikyuu soulmate au. The way the soulmates work is they will get a colour stripe on their dominant wrist, the colour will be their soulmates favourite colour and will be scented like their soulmate. Their soulmate's initials will be engraved in with the stripe. if the initials are white then the soulmate is platonic and if the initials are black then the soulmate is romantic however this can change but that is very rare. The stripe appears at birth. It is possible for someone to not get a stripe but some people can get a delayed soulmate and develop their stripe later but not all. If the soulmate is romantic, then the soulmate will stay true to the persons sexuality. If the soulmate gets hurt the person will be able to sense where (if its physical pain). Mental pain works slightly differently so for example, their soulmate is going through grief, they can feel ever so slightly what the soulmate is feeling so sometimes people can be found suddenly tearing up, even in the happiest of moments, of sadness. If the soulmate is uncomfortable or has been harassed, the person will get visions of it almost like looking back on a memory. when soulmates kiss their stripes will glow slightly.Terminé
