Just a story about a young athlete who suffered a terrible injury...
Inspired by a true story #AP35 and been worked on for over a year as part of my English HSC on discovery. Only 800 words so very quick read! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed working on it :)

When it comes to sports, the only moments highlighted and broadcasted are those that are golden, when an athlete is at the top of the mountain, fearless. The trouble is that the lowest points in our lives are ignored and clouded out. It is at these times where one's character truly shows. All Sam Delmont has ever known was football. From the age of six, he's just been the boy who fell in love with the game and never looked back with nothing in his way. As the starting wide receiver for his junior year, Sam was on top of his high-horse with no intention of coming down. It's a story about recovering from depression. My journey to stay happy after a long couple years. I write mostly poetry.
