Lola Lovewell, a beautiful, English rose in 1930s Hollywood, is mob boss Frank Carrigan's moll. Harry Styles is a hoodlum coming up, he's cheeky, a bit of a rascal, but basically a good guy, not suited to the life. He fell into the game, lazily taking a job here and there to make ends meet. His quick brain and ability to talk his way out of most situations got him noticed by Frank. Frank uses him as a driver, asking his advice and laughing at his witty banter. Harry likes him, sees him as a father figure and a role model. That is until he witnesses a darker side to his idol. Harry is trapped. Frank asks Harry to take Lola out to dinner one evening "Show her a good time kid, you're both English and it'll do her good to be around people her own age. Hopefully it’ll get her off my back about taking her dancing." Harry and Lola have a very slow evening, with stilted conversation. Lola appears to be bored and every bit the stuck up bitch. Exactly what he expects of a gangsters fancy piece. Until Harry sees something no one has seen for a long time. He sees her. And she's just as trapped.
