En 1914, 
a Dangolsheim dans le Bas-Rhin, de nombreux villageois vont assister a une étrange apparition.
 Alors que plusieurs sont occupées au lavoir, un fantômes sous la forme d'un légionnaire romain fait son apparition, sortant du tunnel du lavoir il vient saluer en silence les villageois rassemblés à cet endroit. Puis le légionnaire verse une larme et disparaît. Quelques jours plus tard, la France entre en guerre contre l'Allemagne dans ce qui va être la première guerre mondiale. 
 Le soldat romain revint au lavoir de Dangolsheim une seconde fois, quelques 25 années plus tard, en août 1939, et se volatilisa après avoir a nouveau versé une larme. Quelques jours plus tard l'Europe sera déchirée a nouveau par la guerre.
L'apparition du légionnaire fantômes de Dangolsheim, serait elle annonciatrice de conflit a venir ?
Ce légionnaire fantôme ne serait pas le seul a annoncer de grand bouleversements. 
En Normandie par exemple, à la fin du XIXe siècle, on prétendait encore qu'à la veille de grandes perturbations, on pouvait apercevoir dans les nuages des cavaliers se livrer de furieux combats, et le ciel devenir couleur de sang. Il se disait que les révolutions de 1789, 1830, 1848 et la première guerres mondiale auraient été annoncées par ces phénomènes.

While on the outside world, quirks had developed and the existence of ability users became forgotten with the rise of heroes and villains. The citizens of Yokohama are aware of what is going on in the outside world but think it's stupid to label someone as good or evil.
