I've always loved him with my whole life, so when he died, I died too despite my still breathing lungs and beating heart. When he reemerged, I was reborn knowing that I'd been given this power so that I might save him on this very occasion. They told me he wasn't worth saving, that he wasn't the man I once loved, but I knew when our eyes met that we still had far more in common than what separated us. If saving him is within reach, I refuse to live without him, and maybe that makes me a fool, but I have to stand up to the masquerade and do what's right. That's always been my way of fighting other people's wars, and it's high time I started fighting so devotedly for my own, too.
