Juliette is the daughter of a scientist who is working day and night with the government on a historical scientific breakthrough: time travel. Her father thinks he has finally created a machine that can take a person back in time. The science lab has sent animals through the machine; however, none were smart enough to return. Now the lab and government have created an offer that whoever would like to test this out, will have their families financial problems solved for the rest of their lives. Little did the scientist know, his beloved 16 year old daughter, Juliette, secretly signed up for the drawing, and was picked. She gets to choose a place and time and be schooled for her mission. Her choice? Rome, Italy at the year 24 AD. When she arrives, she searches for a family that could provide her with some guidance, but along the way, she meets a boy that will make going home a challenge.
