The Young Defender

A sixteen-year-old girl in a post-apocalyptic world, who is one of few that remember life before the nuclear war that destroyed humanity. The sole survivor of all her relations, Toril must learn to survive in a broken world.
While technology has gone back in time, mankind's morals seem to have gotten worse; the world is in chaos and anarchy. The people who were at the top of the world before the war, have even more power now that there are less people to stand against them. People-particularly young and unprotected women-are being taken and turned into slaves for the rich men who can afford them.
Despite all, there is still hope. There are still good men in the world, and those who are, are the toughest and most combat-experienced men alive. They have formed a network of villages that continues to grow bigger and stronger, and anyone who resides in these villages is safe from the Slave Seekers, who don't dare challenge these men. These men, who are now called the Defenders.

Disclaimer: This the first draft of my story, so there will be a lot of editing while it's being written as well as once it's finished. There are a lot of parts that will be changed and it'll take me some time to figure out and specify everything regarding all of the Defender's past roles in life.
