My Dear Reader Rebecca
What will you do, when you have only 5 days left, before a dead-or-alive challenge happens? Rebecca is having a highly risky brain surgery next week. Time is extremely precious for her. Yet she chooses to finish reading a book, which is unfortunately mine. I am a failing writer whose stories go nowhere. There are still two more chapters to write for this book, but I am having a writer's block. I visit her in the hospital, and greatly inspired by her courage under the unfortunate circumstances. However, can I finish the book in time for her? I'll try my best. Once again, my mind flies back to the post-apocalypse world of my fiction, searching for a way to end the book properly... ...... This is an attempt to mix comedy with tragedy. Some content is quite heavy, like cancer, depression, sick patients...etc. So prepare a tissue, just in case. I wrote and posted the first 3 chapters 4 years ago, yet due to my stupidity and insensitivity, I lost a dear friend over this story, which I regretted deeply. The idea was first inspired by another friend, who gave me some first hand experience of a cancer patient. Can't thank her enough. It's totally my fault that this story was delayed for so long. It's simply too good to waste, and not fair for her priceless contribution. There are also various things inspired by different friends online, who once bared their souls to me. Sincerely appreciate their friendship. It has totally 8 chapters. Each one has about 2000 to 3000 words. Disclaimer: Everything here is fake, never happened and completely fabricated by my wild imagination. The story has nothing to do with Wattpad or any website, because seriously, nothing is real here. A nuclear apocalypse after a terrible war renders the earth barren and void of life. A lone remnant of that war, a bio-metric wolf with metal bones beneath living flesh and skin wanders aimlessly, unsure of purpose or direction. The robotic parts are the only thing keeping it alive for its hundred year lifespan. One day it encounters something strange, something different; a human boy. The boy is unafraid of the wolf and is, in fact, excited to see it. He is looking for animals who his mother told him were ancient guardians of his people and a sign of the one thing they had been waiting so long for; life. But the boy is unaware that this wolf was an animal-like weapon used to hunt down and destroy his people and not a "real" animal at all. Remains of Humanity
After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?Complete
