When Katniss Everdeen was a small eleven year old girl, her father passed away. Since her mother turned to drugs, she was left to care for her seven year old sister, Primrose, who Ikes being called Prim.
Five years later, their mother passes away from a heroine overdose. Fortunately, Katniss and Prim are taken in by her Aunt Effie, and Uncle Haymitch Abernathy, who have two children of their own, Gale and Rye. But heres the catch, their new home is in a far, 3000 mile place, in the state California, in a city called Panem.
