Charles is considered a pathetic nerd at his school. Not many like him and many feel that he is a waste of space. He is trying his best to get out of the small town by succeeding in school and to get accepted into his dream school. He gets passive-aggressive emotions from his homophobic brother, love from his supportive mother, and bullied by the kids at school.
Ben is very well known and subjected as the most popular boy at school. He often has an intimidating demeanor and kids at school fear him and his group. Ben has had his eyes on one boy since freshman year of high school. He's never admitted it or acted like he could take any interest in the boy because of his reputation, and has got caught up in other risky activities.

Denzel Cedrik has never liked people, he finds them to be a waste of his time and effort. All he wants to do is sort records and read. He's always been popular in high school but he pays no attention to it and he pays no attention to the tons of girls that throw themselves at him. Why would he? He's gay.
