"Samantha" sin lugar a dudas es uno de los nombres más hermosos. Su origen lo conseguimos en el antiguo dialecto arameo y su significado es "la destinada a escuchar".
Y vaya que está destinada a escuchar, sobre todo propuestas de chicos y chicas que se enamorarán con ton solo ver sus ojos. En algún momento de nuestras vidas conoceremos a una persona que transmite un cúmulo de sentimientos con tan solo una mirada, pues así es Samantha.
Es una niña que se dejara querer desde el nacimiento, una chiquilla que no sale de los brazos de alguien, no por costumbre o por maña, sino que le gusta sentir el calor de la protección. No le faltarán los protectores como también los raptores que quieren tenerla para sí. No obstante es una persona muy correcta, que aunque sí es verdad que se deja llevar por sus sentimientos y uno que otro capricho, tiene sus principios bien establecidos así se haya criado en un hogar sin estos.

When Sammy's parents got divorced, she didn't mind at all, because she knew that they weren't meant to be together, and if they weren't happy with each other, then they don't have to stay together for her sake. She lived with her mom, and her dad visited regularly, when he could get away from his work; running a top class private boarding school. Her mom turns on her when her favourite person leaves town, and her life slowly starts losing meaning, and she can't think of anything that makes her happy, except being with her best friend. Then, she goes too... With nothing making her happy in her small town, she makes a life-changing decision, that she thinks will benifit her, and make her life all that she wanted. Or, it could go very wrong and be worse than staying where she is. "Dad, I want to live with you" I told him over the phone, in tears. Nothing new there. "Samantha, you know I'd love you too, but there isn't any school around this area, remember? My school is in the countryside, with nothing within a short driving dinstance" he all but rejected me. "Then can I move schools? Attend your boarding school?" He was silent, then let out a long sigh of defeat. "I'll enroll you now. Pack your things, I'll send a car in the morning for you." That was all I needed to hear, and I was thrilled. Without making noise, I danced around my room and repeatedly thanked him. I wrote this to make El Oasis make sense in my own head, because while the Zurena interactions were on point, the story-line was total crap. I'd prefer not to give too much away here, but I understand that people like to know what they are getting themselves into, especially given the length of this work. So I will say this... This is written as a sort of stream-of-consciousness piece that takes a dive into Zulema's psyche as she navigates a meaningful day and reflects on herself and her relationship with Maca. It's written from Zulema's perspective, and truthfully second-person usually isn't my favorite, but it just felt right for this story. So for those of you who find that approach awkward, I hope you will still give it a chance. This is the first fic I have ever written, so feedback is truly appreciated.
