She was hurt, but so was he. She thought she was going to be a scientist, not a signal mother at the age of 13 and in the zombie apocalypse no less. She lost her mother and father, both commented suicied only three weeks into the outbreak. In their last words they had told her to take care of her little bother, but she couldn't even do that. She kept him safe for five months, but they were on the road and some bad people found them. They cut him from the base of his jaw all the way down his side he bleed out and she couldn't save him,but they didn't touch her, but they did break her. She didn't care if she lived or died and she felt like she didn't have the right to be here she thought she failed, but she was given a second chance when she found a little baby boy. She vowed that she would protect him with her life. And in that momment Ember's life had meaning again. She's sixteen now and is trying so hard to take care of the boy that she named James. What will happen when Ember and James find a town and really start their life? Will Ember find love or is she not capable of love? Can the man that was conseterd a monster teach her not just to love again but teach her to love?
