"My king, please don't do this. Please... please don't do this. I promise I didn't do anything. I swear to you. I swear to you and to the Moon Goddess, that I didn't do it." She pled, looking her mate in the eyes. She struggled against the iron holds of the royal guards, hoping, begging, that her mate would believe her.
He walks toward her coldly, his shoulders back and his posture straight and regal, like a true king. Lifting her chin up slightly to look at him, he bends down to her ear and whispers harshly.
"I, King Cassius Ezra Wolfe, reject you, Alexandria Rivera, as my mate."
She gasps as tears run down her face, her heart immediately breaking in two. She pleads one last time, her hand grabbing his, "Please..."
For a second, his eyes melt, the tingles from her warm hand, melting his cold heart. But he quickly puts his facade back on.
"Take her back to the dungeon." Her mate, the king, commands, taking one last emotionless look at her before yanking his hand back from hers.
He would not be mated to the she-wolf who killed his sister.

Treat her well or I will kill you if she gets hurt more." She was trying to unlock her car, Grayson towered over her. A silver blade shimmered in his hand, her foot knocking it out of his hand. "Your parents were right about you." He taunted cruelly, his gray eyes darkening. "They were right to call you a loser, and a failure all of the time. They paired me with you to improve yourself, and learn obedience like the good dog you should be." Enough was enough, her body collapsing to her knees. Parking the bike, she looked relieved as I rushed to her side. "You don't deserve my sister." I barked bitterly, scooping her up. "And you managed to break Evie again. Great job man." Tears streamed down her cheeks, her finger gripping my sleeve. She never told me about her home life, guilt eating me raw. Everyday she bounded by my side with the warmest smile.Lengkap
